Isolated areas often depend on an independent generation system for its electrical power requirements from both conventional and non-conventional sources due to weak nature of power grid and the difficulty to connect to the power grids. These windy locations are suitable for wind energy conversion systems. The study of behaviour of a self excited induction generator under different operating condition mostly depends on its steady state characteristics
